That oil pressure light didn’t come on for no reason.

This vehicle came in with the oil pressure warning illuminated and a very poor service history. Once we dropped the sump, the problem was obvious. The oil pick-up was completely blocked with thick sludge and debris, starving the engine of oil.

This is what happens when oil changes are missed or stretched too far. Over time, old oil breaks down, sludge builds up, and vital engine components are left without proper lubrication. If left any longer, this could have resulted in major engine damage or failure.

We cleaned the pick-up, flushed the system, replaced the oil and filter, and got everything flowing properly again before it turned into a much bigger repair.

If your oil pressure light comes on, don’t keep driving and hope for the best. Get it checked early. It can be the difference between a service and a full engine rebuild.
